Welcome to my site!

My teaching methods are tailored to each individual student.

I focus on each individual student's wants and needs.

Playing music should be first and foremost a fun experience!  I try to infuse that in every aspect of my teaching, whether you are 6 or 60 (and I've taught that range in age!).

My Services

I operate an inhome service. Which means that I offer the convenience of coming to you for your lessons.

It is not an original idea. I have just found that most people find this method more appealing. It saves on trying to find parking at a studio which sometimes can be a problem.

Many people also find it easier to schedule. I always do my very best to accommodate everyone's schedule if I can.

I have been screened under the Vulnerable Sector Screening process through the Calgary Police Service in cooperation with the RCMP ( last check Oct. 3, 2012 ). A copy is available upon request.

Everyone in my profession should have this done. Unfortunately we now live in a world where this is a consideration before you let someone in your home.

This is especially true for teaching children , someone physically or emotionally challenged or someone older, who is considered to be vulnerable.

I started playing music because it was fun and gave me confidence. I try to pass that experience on to all my students young & old!

I still play professionally today as well as teach.

Philosophy

My method of teaching is to combine theory with practical application. That was the way I was taught by my first music teacher and have found over the years that it is the best route to take.

I teach everyone with the assumption that they will eventually be playing with a band or in some other musical ensemble.

Whether you want to play for just the enjoyment of playing or you wish to pursue a career in music, I'll do my best to help you achieve your goals!
